Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has promised a while ago a series of enhancements for Lumia 800’s battery life, and it appears that the company has just started to send it out.

Users in Singapore are currently reporting that their Windows Phone-based Nokia Lumia 800 devices have started to receive the OS update as firmware version 12070.

Apparently, this is indeed the software update that Nokia promised a long time ago with various battery life enhancements included into the mix, as well as with some improvements for the phone’s camera.

Moreover, the new software was reportedly meant to deliver tweaks to the white balance of the images and improved audio for all video recordings.

The new software update for the Nokia Lumia 800 can be downloaded and installed via a Windows-based desktop PC using the Zune software.
