Nokia appears indeed convinced that the Windows Phone 7.8 platform release will arrive on devices as soon as this month.

In fact, Nokia Spain has already confirmed to its users that the update is expected to land on devices this month, but also said that the roll-out is carrier-dependent.

Microsoft has unveiled plans to deliver this software update to its Windows phone 7.5 users ever since June last year, but no specific info on the availability date has been provided as of now.

By the looks of it, however, it seems that the platform upgrade should start emerging on devices before the end of this month through the official channels, after having been spotted in NaviFirm for Lumia devices ever since December.

Windows Phone 7.8 will bring along a new Start screen, along with lockscreen enhancements, performance improvements and other new features.
