After Nokia Simenes Networks demoed a data call peak of 336 Mbps HSPA+ at PT Expo Comm in Beijing, China, the company came forward with a series 4G devices.

A 4G plug-and-play USB dongle, an indoor and an outdoor wireless router promise to deliver broadband access at up to 102 Mbps downlink and 51 Mbps uplink.

All three devices announced by Nokia Siemens Networks feature support for TD-LTE (time division-duplex, long term evolution) networks and target all regions that offer LTE services, ranging from basic connectivity to much faster mobile broadband.

The Nokia Siemens Networks USB-lte 7210 is now available for purchase for a price that will be disclosed in due time. The 4G device provides users mobile broadband via laptops, as well as compatible tablets while on the move.

The CPEi-lte 7212 wireless router manufactured by Nokia Siemens Networks is built for indoor use and offers only fixed wireless connectivity to TD-LTE services via WiFi or Ethernet.

Additionally, the Nokia Siemens Networks CPEo-lte 7210 wireless router targets customers who want to use such a device while outdoors.

The wireless router withstands the weather and can be mounted outdoors, allowing for broadband access.

The availability of compatible devices in the market can be a significant factor in the uptake of a new wireless technology. By providing devices directly, we allow our customers to offer complete broadband packages to consumers, which in turn would speed up the adoption of new 4G services,” said Ken Riordan, head of devices at Nokia Siemens Networks.

According to Nokia Siemens Networks, all three 4G devices are available for purchase in all regions with 4G services coverage and are compatible with the TD-LTE standard in the 2.3 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands allocated for wireless broadband.

It is also worth mentioning that the devices use innovative techniques meant to improve performance and reduce costs, the manufacturer claims.
