Sporting a 3250-like design

An image of a new Nokia has recently surfaced suggesting that a new music phone, dubbed 5700 might be announced soon.

It comes with the same form factor as the Nokia 3250, with the bottom part that can twist and activate the camera module, while the design is very similar to the Nokia 5300's, with the stripes (in this case red) on the side.

There's no way to tell what the actual design of the rotating lower part will be, but it's very probable that it will come in a dual face keypad design just as the Nokia 3250.

While this is not a picture of an actual phone, but more of an advert/flier, a first impression would be that this is just a rumor and nothing would lead you to think that Nokia will release such a handset. But there are two details that support its existence. The first would be the Nokia 5700 UAProfile which you can find here.

Also, a phone that is very similar to this one, listed as the RM-320 has been recently approved by the Federal Communications Commission. The two phones are similar in quite a few ways, so there is a chance that we're talking about the same handset.

If this is the case, by adding up all the features and information provided in both cases, we'll get a mobile phone that targets music enthusiasts with support for quad-band GSM, tri-band UMTS and maybe also HSDPA, running S60 3rd edition feature pack 1. More details about the 'RM-320' are available here.

If Nokia is really planning such a phone, then it shouldn't be long until we get to see an official announcement, especially since it's been approved by the FCC. Until then, at least some more leaks and maybe even photos are bound to show up.
