Nokia has just unveiled a new solution to help handset users save some money while enjoying the same evolved services as up to now. Operators might not be so happy about it, but that would be far from affecting Nokia, as the company had to confront them before on account of the services that it included in its handsets.

Companies carrying Nokia mobile phones have expressed dissatisfaction on the VoIP solution that the company packed and also on the Music Store service
that it included by default in its Nokia N81 and 8GB Nokia N95 devices. Now, the Finnish handset producer adds the Mobile Unified Communications solutions, for making it possible to handle all of their business and personal communications needs with the help of a single device.

The solution is available on Nokia Eseries devices such as Nokia E51, Nokia E61i, Nokia E65, and Nokia E90 Communicator that are optimized to integrate seamlessly with corporate telephony systems and the Nokia Mobile Unified Communications one as well. This includes Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Cisco and Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Alcatel-Lucent. These enable the user to include desk phone calling features such as extension dialing, call hold, transfer, and conferencing on a single mobile device and make considerable cost cuts.

"Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Cisco with Nokia Eseries was the ideal answer to our needs. As a solution with an all-in-one device, it simply can't be beat. Our employees can now work much more flexibly. They only need to carry one device with them to make phone calls and to manage their address books and calendars", considers Wolfgang Senoner, head of IT, Omicron. "This has increased the availability of our staff, and they are able to be reminded of appointments ahead of time", he further added.

Nokia considers that this solution also presents opportunities for operators, service providers and systems integrators to drive subscriber growth and technology adoption. It is also great for users to increase their productivity level, although time will tell whose interest this solution serves best.
