An internal Nokia document that's discussing the Nokia Sports tracker application is also listing the N81 as one of the compatible handsets.

Since there is no Nokia N81 available on the market at the moment, and no such phone has been announced one can only assume that the Finish manufacturer is planning to release one.

Such a phone was never mentioned by Nokia, but some leaked pictures of the rumored N83 have showed up around a year ago. The N83 isn't mentioned in the document, so there is a slight chance that the phone in the photo and the N81 are one and the same.

The photo was found here and regardless of whether the phone is the N81 or N83, what's clear is that is resembles the N80 as design. Keep in mind that this is only a rumor and not official information. Another mobile phone Nokia is expected to release is the CDMA 7088, that has recently been approved by the FCC, which means that is should be officially announced rather soon.

There isn't any information regarding its specs, although it is expected to be a S40 mobile phone with a 65k color screen and a case with a design that looks like the L'Amour phone, and no photo of it was available in the FCC document. Nevertheless, a leaked photo surfaced eventually.

While it might take a while until we get to see the N81, or we might end up not seeing one at all, the 7088 that has just received the FCC's blessing should be showing up pretty soon.
