A certain Nokia RM-860 smartphone has been spotted at the Federal Communication Commission these past days, with support for Verizon’s network, supposedly one of the upcoming Windows Phone 8 handsets for this carrier.

The smartphone, which emerged only a few days ago in an ad company’s database, will hit shelves with support for LTE bands 4 and 13, Engadget reports, but no other details on it are available for the time being.

However, this is not the first time we learn that Nokia and Verizon might be preparing a Lumia smartphone for launch in the United States, and the RM-860 might be just it.

Previous rumors suggested that the new Verizon-bound Nokia Lumia handset should be a Lumia 920 variant with enhanced hardware and functionality, yet it remains to be seen whether this will pan out indeed.
