Nokia’s Lumia 800

smartphone has already managed to impress a lot of people, but it seems that Nokia feels that more can be done.

The company has kicked off a new campaign in Germany, putting the Lumia 800 on ice.

They actually put Lumias inside large blocks of ice, and asked passers to free the device from them, in exchange for a free smartphone.

As you can see in the video embedded above, more than one person accepted the challenge, and freed the device using a variety of tools.

This kind of marketing will certainly help Nokia’s first Windows Phone to get off to a great start, even if it is not the first time we see something like this.

Last year, when the very first Windows Phones landed on shelves around the world, Microsoft France made a similar move.
