Nokia has made available for download a new beta flavor of its Nokia Pulse application for devices running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system.
The new Nokia Pulse Beta 0.9.5.11 comes with a handful of new features, aimed at delivering an enhanced experience to all users.
Users who download and install the new release will benefit from a conversation live tile option, enabling them to pin a specific conversation to the phone’s Start screen.
Moreover, the app
can now recognize multiple email addresses for the same user, and also features fast access to composing messages from the landing page – users will have to simply hit the “Send a message” box.
The new features build upon the capabilities that were already available for those Windows Phone owners who used the application on their devices.
The app was designed to add the user’s current location to each message sent, regardless of whether it is a specific address or a known place.
Moreover, Nokia Pulse was designed with deep integration with Nokia Maps, so that users could send detailed info on a place, including ratings and reviews, map, directions, and more.
The software also packs support for creating a Pulse live tile, which notifies users on new Pulse message from any conversation.
Those who choose to pin a specific conversation to the homescreen will be informed only in the messages received in that specific conversation.
Pulse messages can be read through logging-in with a Facebook account, if a Nokia account is not available. Messages will be sent only to those people one chooses to send them to, and no one else. The mobile application
was release with support for a variety of Windows Phone devices, including Nokia’s Lumia 900, Lumia 800, Lumia 710, and Lumia 610, as well as Samsung Focus, Samsung Omnia7, HTC Pro, HTC HD7, HTC Mozart, HTC Surround, HTC Trophy, LG Optimus, LG Quantum, and Dell Venue Pro.
