Nokia has just released the Prism collection, with the Nokia 7900 and 7500 models as the devices meant to bear the spotlight glow. They are the result of the Finnish company's attempt of breaking the lines of previous phone model designs.

Nokia has successfully managed to design the Prism collection with a completely innovative design, never seen before in previous handsets, although this is not necessarily a good thing. The Prism phones have received less attention than the company has hoped, although the leaked images surely played their role in arousing people's interest.

Nokia 7900 and 7500 phone models make the Prism line of phones. The difference between the two mostly resides in performances and, because of this, in price too. Other than that, the two handsets share a highly similar design, with prism shapes. Still, the 7900 model features more elegant shapes, as well as a less intricate pattern. This makes it more stylish and less of a children's toy, which is also reflected in its performances.

What the two Prism phones pride most with is the design. Still, performances also show them to be quite useful, although none of them holds performances out of the ordinary. Nokia 7500 comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, for providing captures of average quality, including video captures too. There is a 2GB microSD card provided for storing all personal content.

Nokia 7900 additionally brings an internal memory of 1GB. Its design is amongst the first to feature an Organic LED main display that supports up to 16 million colors and displays light-focused screensaver graphics. The handset also offers a gallery choice of 49 illumination colors. Once selected, color radiates from under the graphic keymat as well as from the LED display.

The two mobile models will be available in the third quarter of this year, with an estimated retail price of EUR 400 for the Nokia 7900 Prism and EUR 210 for the Nokia 7500 Prism, before taxes and subsidies.
