Nokia Lumia owners who upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview may have noticed that some applications will not work anymore with the new operating system.

Most of the developers were pretty fast in adding support for Windows Phone 8.1 to their applications, but not Nokia. It appears that Nokia Play to application needed more than a month to receive an update that adds this feature.

Oh well, better late than never, so starting with version 3.2.3.13, Nokia Play to can be used without issues on Windows Phone 8.1 devices to stream content from the smartphone.

Aside from adding Windows Phone 8.1 support, the update also includes some new features and improvements. For example, there's a new slideshow feature for images.

The developers have also added a new tweak that makes Nokia Play to resume more efficiently when running in the background. Last but not least, support for additional DLNA devices has been added as well, along with some bug fixes (no details available).

You can now download Nokia Play to for Windows Phone 3.2.3.13 for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is exclusive to Lumia smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8 and up (including Windows Phone 8.1).
