14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of the popular Nokia Play To application is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8-based Lumia handsets, namely version 2.2.1.4.
According to the release notes, the new application iteration arrives on devices with better Wi-Fi connectivity, which should ensure compatibility with upcoming smartphones and firmware updates.
For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia’s Play To app enables users to easily play content from their Lumia phones straight to other devices connected to a home’s Wi-Fi network.
“Enjoy your photos, videos and music on other web-enabled (DLNA) devices using Play To in order to connect over the same Wi-Fi network. Discover devices you can connect to over Wi-Fi using Play To, including smart TVs, Blu-ray players, PCs and tablets,” the app’s description reads.
