The ad was only “simulating” Lumia 920’s imaging capabilities

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is reportedly set to kick off an internal investigation to find the people responsible for the publishing of misleading Lumia 920 ads that have made the rounds on the web last week.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the company came up with a PureView ad to showcase Lumia 920’s camera features, but that it did not shot the video with the smartphone itself.

Nokia has already issued an apology for that, but the damage is done, and the smartphone’s sales might actually be hurt due to this slip. Nokia could have prevented this from happening, that’s for sure.

However, Bloomberg reports that Nokia is currently looking into the matter, in an attempt to find people responsible for the misleading ads. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
