Nokia has just announced that it has updated the Nokia PC Suite to version 6.83. The new version features support for Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit. Nokia owners will be able to upgrade this package of Windows-based applications to the latest version by downloading the updated one from here.

Designed especially for Nokia phones, the PC Suite's other features include: back up and restore phone files; transfer information, pictures, and music from phone to phone or phone to PC; synchronize phone and PC calendars; edit contacts, pictures, and phone file names; install Java-based applications in your phone; convert ringing tone formats; play multimedia messages and video; send text messages from the PC; connect by using your phone as a modem.

Furthermore, the new PC Suite version includes new options such as: a new version of Nokia Content Copier which lets you select the content types you want to back up and restore, and notification when new phone software (firmware) updates are available, depending on your phone model.

Nokia owners will be thrilled to find that there's also a section which describes Nokia phones features. The new version is official and it's been available for download starting 4th April.
