When it rains, it pours, and when the guys over at Nokia Beta Labs start to deliver updated applications for Nokia users out there, it seems that the list keeps on growing. Following the release of Ovi Maps in final version (the solution graduated from Beta Labs today) and of a new flavor of Nokia Point & Find, now we learn that a new version of Nokia Ovi Suite is available for public download, namely 2.1 Beta.

As many of you might already know, the Nokia Ovi Suite is that software solution that enables users to connect their Nokia handset to a Windows PC, while also providing a series of features like synchronization of contacts, messages, photos and more, or the possibility to update their devices via the PC. The Nokia Ovi Suite 2.1 Beta has been in private testing until now, it seems, but it just went public, so that more Nokia users out there can enjoy its new features. One of the main features of the new software version is the added support for Windows 7, which was announced a few days ago for Nokia Software Updater too.

However, other enhancements are also included in the new Nokia Ovi Suite 2.1 Beta, such as: - support for syncing contacts with ovi.com, so now you can easily keep your contacts safe in ovi.com - support for syncing videos from device to Nokia Ovi Suite, video playback and transferring videos from Nokia Ovi Suite to device - updating device applications and distributing new device applications (same feature as in devices “Software update” application) - support for syncing contacts with Mozilla Thunderbird - new languages (Hindi, American English and Ukrainian) - extended device support - performance improvements - improving overall product quality and stability, for example in sync

Other improvements are available with the new release as well, and Nokia Beta Labs notes, “as you can see from screenshot, we’ve included way to send feedback directly from Nokia Ovi Suite for us. We will be asking questions and surveys through Nokia Ovi Suite from time to time, so we’re hoping to hear feedback from you often. So don't be suprised, if you see these questions coming out.”

Those who would like to learn more on the software should head over to the Nokia Beta Labs website which, by the way, has received a new interface a few days ago. According to the development team, the enhancements in the new release are based on users' feed-back, so continue to deliver your impressions on the application for further updates. Moreover, it seems that a Nokia Ovi Suite for Mac is also under development, and that it shouldn't be too long before it arrives, so stay tuned.
