Owners of a Nokia mobile phone can now enjoy a new version of the Nokia Ovi Suite application, namely 2.1.1.1. The Ovi Suite it the PC software solution Nokia has released for its users so as to offer them the possibility to connect their handsets to a Windows computer to back up and organise files and applications on the handset.

Meant to replace the Nokia PC Suite and practically almost all other software solutions users can install on their computers to connect to Nokia phones, the Ovi Suite has been now updated to 2.1.1.1, and can offer enhanced functionality. Moreover, it seems that a great deal of bug fixes have been also included in the new release, providing a more reliable syncing of handsets.

According to Nokia, the new 2.1.1.1 release of Nokia Ovi Suite includes the following improvements: - Critical fixes for sync and device updates; - Critical bug fixes for device software updater in Windows 7; - Important fixes preventing repeating calendar entry time shifting in time zones west from GMT; - Important fixes and stability improvements for contacts sync.

The developing team also notes that all Nokia users should download and install the Nokia Ovi Suite to the new release. All that users will need to do is to start the update installation when it appears in Home view notification. Moreover, users can also go to Tools -> Software updates so as to immediately check for the new version and start the installation.

The Nokia Ovi Suite 2.1 was released in a final flavor only last month, after being launched in a beta flavor at the beginning of the year. As stated above, the app is meant to replace all previously released PC applications from Nokia, and enables users to sync devices, back up files, transfer music, install maps, and more. With Nokia Ovi Suite 2.1, users can also benefit from support for Microsoft's Windows 7 OS, which was released in October last year.
