Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is moving closer and closer to the launch of a new smartphone in the popular Lumia lineup, one that might arrive on shelves as the Lumia 928.

This is supposedly a Verizon Wireless exclusive, and some info on the audio recording capabilities of the device is now available.

After teasing the video recording features of the smartphone, stacking them up against those of iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III, Nokia decided to show to the world how the upcoming mobile phone can record distortion-free audio, while also comparing the feature with that of the Galaxy S III.

Additionally, the company updated the teaser page for the device on its website, adding a new press shot of Lumia 928 and also linking to the video demo that can be seen embedded above.

No specific info on when the device will be officially unveiled has emerged so far, but rumor has it that May 14 might be the lucky day for enthusiasts.
