The smartphone is available in Bright Red, Yellow, White, and Black

Today, Nokia made official in India a handful of devices, including the Nokia Asha 502 smartphone, which is already available for purchase in the country.

The company has announced the smartphone with a price tag of Rs. 5,969 ($96/€70) attached to it, and confirmed that it is available for Idea users with 500MB of 2G data for three months. According to fonearena, it can be bought in Bright Red, Yellow, White, and Black.

The mobile phone packs some appealing hardware specifications for its market segment, including a 3.0-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) screen, 64MB of RAM, 64MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Moreover, it sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash, as well as a 1110 mAh battery that can deliver up to 13.7 hours of talk time, or up to 24 days of standby time.

Other specs of the handset include dual-SIM with dual-standby, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and FM radio. Asha 502 runs under Nokia Asha software platform v1.1 with Swipe UI.
