Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has already been rumored to be on its way to the market with another iteration of its high-end Nokia N97 device, only that the new handset should be smaller, thus being called Nokia N97 Mini. While until now only in the rumor side, it seems that things are getting more substantial, and photos of said device have already emerged into the wild.

The new Nokia N97 Mini (let’s call it this way, though it is not certain that its name won't be another one) can be seen in the new images beside its older/bigger brother, the original N97. When compared to the latter, the N97 Mini looks both smaller and slimmer, while some design changes can also be spotted.

To be more precise, the photos show that the Mini does not come with the same camera cover as the original model, while the sliding keypad is also different than the one sported by the bigger N97. Unfortunately, it seems that there are no exact details on what the new device comes with, so we can not say at the moment whether it includes significant changes.

Until more info on the Nokia N97 Mini surface, you might want to consider acquiring another handset from the manufacturer, the N86 8MP, which now comes at a special offer for those living in the US. The phone, which sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, features a pre-order price tag of $502 on Nokia's USA site before taxes and shipping, $55.80 less than usual, upon the entering of the promotional code NOKIATHEATRE at checkout. The device is more than attractive, both due to the high-quality camera it includes, and because of its multimedia features. It sports Carl Zeiss optics, can record videos at 30 frames per second and at a 640 x 480 pixel resolution, and also sports 3G connectivity on the 850/1900/2100 bands and a dual-sliding design.
