According to the latest news on the Web, the long-awaited Nokia N97 NAM has already made it to the Nokia Flagship stores in New York City and Chicago, and is expected to become available for purchase as soon as today, in the afternoon. Last week, the Finnish mobile phone maker announced that the handset would start shipping to 75 countries all around the world, and it seems that the United States are about to receive their model.

The Nokia N97 NAM that was reportedly shipped to the Nokia Flagship stores is all dressed up in black, it seems, and is expected to be offered for purchase with a price tag of $699.99. Although the device might seem to be a little expensive, the features that are included inside it should be worth every penny.

Those who do not live in New York or Chicago will still have a reason to rejoice, as the Nokia N97 NAM should also become available for acquisition through Amazon.com, where it features a price tag of $604, to which one should also add the shipping fees. Those who placed pre-orders for the mobile phone on the NokiaUSA website might also receive their units in the very near future, in case the models are shipped today, though there are no exact details on this at the moment.

In case some of you might have forgotten what the Nokia N97 includes, we should mention that it is a Symbian S60 5th Edition handset that sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, boasting a 640 x 360 pixel resolution, a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss Optics, dual LED flash, auto focus and video recording capabilities, a wide range of connectivity options, media player, support for various Nokia services (Ovi Store, Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps 2.0, etc.), email and messaging capabilities (SMS, MMS, IM), and includes 32GB of mass storage, and a microSD memory card slot to expand the available memory with up to 16 GB.
