Nokia N97 Available in India Too

Nokia N97, the high-end smartphone from the Finnish mobile phone maker, has reached the Indian market too. The device comes to the country on the airwaves of wireless carrier Vodafone, and seems to be on a mission to fulfill the needs of any mobile Internet enthusiast in the country. In addition, the handset also comes with a personalized home screen, offering users fast access to social networking sites and RSS feeds, along with a wide range of widgets for even more customizations.

One of the new features that the Nokia N97 brings in this direction is the widgets created for Ovi feeds. At the same time, we should also note that this is the first handset from the mobile phone maker to come with seamless access to the newly launched Ovi store. Through the portal, users can enjoy easy access to a large number of applications, games, videos, tools, services and more. Support for Nokia Music Store is also present.

The feature list of the Nokia N97 shows a touchscreen 3.5-inch display, a side-sliding QWERTY keypad, 32GB of on-board memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, A-GPS, compass, 10 international widgets and 5 local widgets, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper that sports Carl Zeiss optics and video recording capabilities. In addition, the device also includes HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The price of the handset has been set at Rs.36,119, and users can purchase it through an easy EMI payment system (a 3-month EMI option at 0% interest rate). At the same time, Vodafone also offers the Nokia N97 with a free data plan for three months.
