Nokia Germany's website recently leaked new info about Nokia N96, the Nseries successor of N95 that will (hopefully) hit the marked this year. The link where the info was first spotted is not valid anymore, but the details live on.

I know that Nokia fans expect great things from N96, so I think many of them will be a bit disappointed if the leaked specs prove to be true. I'm not saying the specs are bad in any way, but just not as good as we wished (if you remember, there were rumors saying the handset will pack a 7 Megapixel camera with optical zoom or a full QWERTY keyboard).

Anyway, let's see what Nokia N96 really has to offer. First of all, there's 16GB of internal memory plus microSD slot for another 16GB, hence we have a total of 32GB enormous storage space. So if you thought Apple's new 16GB iPhone was super-cool, apparently N96 is "the coolest". Moving on, Nokia N96 weighs 125 grams and measures 103 x 55 x 18 millimeters (4.05 x 2.16 x 0.7 inch) - thinner than N95 with 3 millimeters. Which is (obviously) good.

The photo camera packed in Nokia N96 is similar to the N95 one (5 Megapixels, Carl Zeiss lens, auto focus, dual LED flash and video recording at 30 Fps), with the difference that the LED flash can be used for video recording too.

Other specs of the new Nseries include quad-band EDGE and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, 2.8 inch 320 ? 240 pixel display with 16 million colors, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, mini USB and the S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 with Flash Lite 3 web browser.

All in all, everything looks great, so we only have to wait now for details about the phone's price and release date. Maybe the Mobile World Congress (11 - 14 February) will be the place to reveal that.
