Nokia N900 is the high-end Maemo 5-powered handset the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia launched on the market during the ongoing year, and it is set to arrive on the UK market before the end of the ongoing year, some of the latest news around the web suggest. Not too long ago, Vodafone UK confirmed that it would be carrying the device starting early next year, and some voices suggest that January 7 would be the planned launch day; yet, now we've learned that the Carphone Warehouse is also expected to add the Nokia N900 on its offering, and that might happen as soon as December 26 is here.

At the same time, the guys over at pocket-lint also say that the price tag the Maemo 5-powered device will land at the Carphone Warehouse has been confirmed as well. The Nokia N900 is expected to become available for purchase “from £35 on a 24-month contract.” For what it's worth, it seems that there are no exact details on what the contract is all about, but, in case is a £35 contract on Vodafone, users might end up receiving around 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile web usage. However, the exact details on the phone's pricing are to emerge in the near future.

The Nokia N900, as many of you might already know, is the first mobile phone released by the Finnish handset vendor with the Maemo 5 platform on it, and might as well be the last one too, since some reports say that only one Maemo-based handset will come from Nokia in 2010, and that one might run under Maemo 6. One way or the other, the handset seems to be a 'must have' gadget, as it sports a great deal of capabilities that remind us of computers: multitasking, great connectivity options, a powerful Internet browser, great email and messaging capabilities, appealing applications, and more. Stay tuned to learn more on its market arrival in the UK.
