Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved the technical specifications of Nokia N90, one of the three phones recently launched by the Finnish producer.

The model approved by FCC contains high quality digital camera, fitted with Carl Zeiss's lens system and all the options of a classic digital camera. The sensor has a 2 megapixel resolution, autofocus,
20X digital zoom, flash and a macro mode. Moreover, the camera can shoot movies and the content is directly editable from the phone's menu.

Considering the specialists have announced the market of cell phones fitted with digital cameras will increase four times compared to the stand alone digital cameras, a product having features from both devices: cell phones and digital cameras should be smashing success.

Moreover, printing photographs directly from the cell phone is facilitated by Nokia XpressPrint, which allows users to select one of the printing solutions: PictBridge (when the two devices are connected via a USB cable), wireless via the Bluetooth connection or the Reduced Size Dual Voltage MultiMediaCard (RS-MMC) memory card which is introduced in the printer's card reader.

The phone is based on the Symbian operating system and has been announced for this quarter.
