Wireless carrier Vodafone Australia has just added a new device to its offering, none other than the MeeGo-based Nokia N9 smartphone that became official only a few months ago.

The handset was made available for purchase via Vodafone with 64GB of internal memory, and can be found online on the carrier's website here. According to the company, the handset is accompanied by a BONUS Nokia bluetooth speaker.

The handset is available for $10 (around 7.33 Euros) a month on Vodafone's $45 (roughly 33 Euros) per month plan, with the signing of a two-year agreement. It is available on other plans as well, and goes for free on the $85 (about 63 Euros) monthly plan.

The Nokia N9 was launched with a 3.9-inch touchscreen display on the front, an AMOLED panel, and features an all-touch design.

“Introducing an all-screen smartphone like no other. It all comes together beautifully with the scratch-resistant glass merging perfectly into the smooth one-piece body. And there's innovation in every detail,” the wireless carrier notes.

“This one idea makes everything feel effortless and completely natural as you use your phone. There are no back or home keys - just a continuous flow as you move from app to app. Swipe any edge of the screen to go home, then move easily between three home views.”

Based on the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan operating system, the new mobile phone comes with appealing features, including the said 64GB of internal memory, or the 8-megapixel photo snapper packed on its back, with HD video recording capabilities.

The smartphome also packs support for the wireless carrier's 3G network, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, the usual set of sensors, and more.

“Nokia N9 comes with quality must-have apps straight out of the box, including Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Accuweather and AP Mobile. You also get Angry Birds to keep you entertained for hours, plus there are other essential apps and games at Ovi Store,” Vodafone explains.
