The N85 and N97 have finally “breached” the U.S. market, after having been expected much sooner. Because of this delay, the devices were not sure to catch the holiday spirit in America, but fortunately that was not the case. Since now these handsets represent very exciting news for the Americans, this late release might just turn out to be a highly effective marketing move from the giant manufacturer.

In any case, these two Nokia mobiles are said to be perfect for the holiday season, being fun and entertaining at the same time and also featuring lots of interesting specs for your delight. Even though the two have been released together as “twin” cells, each comes with certain defining features that set them apart. For example, the N85 will be remarked thanks to its excellent camera capabilities and other such features, whereas the N79 will catch the attention due to its seasonally colored Xpress-on smart covers, which come in white, red and brown.

Alessandro Lamanna, vice president of Sales, Retail, Nokia Americas, declared, regarding this late release, that "We're excited to have these two multimedia devices available in the United States now – and in time for the holidays[...]The Nokia N85 provides a great mobile gaming experience, lets you capture high quality videos, browse the web, shoot amazing high resolution pictures and enjoy a great music experience and everything else that consumers have come to enjoy with Nokia Nseries. Behind the slender exterior of the Nokia N79 is a wealth of wizardry to make discovering and sharing experiences with friends a real pleasure, any time of the year. Both devices even come with a three-month license for integrated pedestrian and voice-guided navigation with Nokia Maps. "

The main reason why they are said to fit quite well with the holiday season is that these mobiles are equipped with 5 Megapixel, LED flash, 30 frames/s video, Carl Zeiss optics cameras that deliver a great photographing experience and build up the already appealing fun factor these devices are promising.

Furthermore, both the N85 and the N79 offer great multimedia capabilities, the former coming with an 8GB micro SD card included, while the latter with the smaller 4GB card. On top of that, the handsets are equipped with an FM transmitter and 3D stereo sound, which, as previously mentioned, really boast up the fun factor these phones come with.

Finally, the rest of the intriguing features are represented by the spectacular gaming experiences each one delivers, plus the high-speed data, bright screening connections. Moreover, the N85 supports European 3G networks as well, which makes it great for a holiday escape, should it be the case, not to mention that both devices come with Nokia Maps and 3-month licensed pedestrian and voice guided navigation.

All the aforementioned features are said to turn these mobiles into two of the Americans' most purchased holiday phones, and, while we’re at it, note that the N85 is going for $539 whereas the N79 sells for $439.
