Nokia N810 WiMAX, first announced at the beginning of April, during CTIA Wireless 2008, was not officially launched yet, but it can be bought on pre-order for a price lower than that of the original Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. The latter is currently estimated at $479.99 on Nokia's website, while the WiMAX edition appears on Buy (click here) for only $436.48, shipping included. Sure, if you pay for the N810 WiMAX now, you'll only get it when released, sometime this summer, but it still seems a pretty good deal, considering that the new N810 has the same features as the original one, plus WiMAX connectivity.

The $436.48 price from the online retailer mentioned above comes after a discount from $479.00, which seems to be the original price of Nokia N810 WiMAX.

The N810 WiMAX Internet Tablet will be released only in the US, Nokia says. This will probably be done once with the deployment of Sprint's WiMAX network, which should cover about all of the US territory by the end of the year.

WiMAX will enable users to connect their N810 to the Web at very fast speeds, even beyond Wi-Fi points. For the moment only a few important cities in the US support WiMAX, but this will change pretty soon, thanks to Sprint's future network.

Besides WiMAX, Nokia N810 WiMAX features a range of other advanced features, including a 4.13 inch touchscreen display, built-in GPS and maps, Wi-Fi, full QWERTY keyboard, mobile email, Mozila-powered Web with Adobe Flash 9 plug-in, 2GB of internal memory (expandable up to 10GB), easy PS sync, Media player, Bluetooth, high-quality speakers and so on.

This being said, users who are waiting for the N810 WiMAX and have $440 to give away should check out the online pre-order offer. Hopefully, by summer the Internet Tablet will be theirs.
