The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet will start shipping across the US starting today, just as the producer promised when the device was unveiled. The device looks to combine the power and functionality of a PC with the mobility of a portable device.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet comes equipped with some of the most evolved performances that make it one of the most powerful mobile devices out there. The full QWERTY keypad and 400 MHz processor provide the functionality of a PC. Moreover, there is also up to 10GB of memory made of 8GB of optional memory card and 2GB of internal one to store personal files on.

The device also provides Internet access through a Mozilla browser and using Wi-Fi hotspots, but also takes care of the wireless communication through Bluetooth connectivity. This means that the user can benefit from email and instant messaging just as he would from the personal computer and can also manage online community accounts and blogs with great ease.

One highly useful feature about the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet is the built-in GPS that will manage to provide directions so that the user never gets lost. This makes it a device most suitable for people on the road, who also want to keep in touch with their friends.

"More than ever, people want to bring their online communities with them wherever they go - whether it's on vacation, a business trip, or just around their neighborhood - and the pocketable Nokia N810 Internet Tablet lets consumers do just this", said Bill Plummer, Vice President of Multimedia, at Nokia North America. Moreover, "As consumer demand increases for new multimedia experiences, Nokia is taking the leadership position to create new devices that meet this demand and maximize the experience for the user", he further added.

The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet is available at consumer electronics and wireless retailers, such as select Best Buy Mobile retailers, CompUSA, Micro Center and the Nokia Flagship stores in Chicago and New York, as well as in a growing number of online retailers. The handset can be found at a price ranging around USD 480.
