The last week of September is almost here and, along with it, the new flagship device from Nokia, namely the Symbian^3-based Nokia N8, which should become available for purchase in the UK on Friday.

September 24 that is, namely this Friday, the first day of the last week of this month, to be more precise.

It has been a long wait, but it seems that the new high-end Nseries device from the Finnish mobile phone maker is finally nearing its availability.

Originally expected to be put on sale before the end of the summer, the handset was pushed back about a month or so, and its official release window became “last week of September.”

Some of the latest rumors on Nokia N8 suggested that we might see further delays of the device, but Nokia remains firm to the late September announcement, which means that we should see the N8 in user's hands before this week is over.

Proof of handset's upcoming launch comes from a recent article on My Nokia Blog, which brings forth a photo taken in Manchester (UK) and showing an ad stating that only five days are left until N8 lands on shelves.

Since Nokia was said to make the new mobile phone available for UK users one week before other markets receive it, little doubt remains on whether the device would actually arrive on Friday or not. As September 30 should bring it to additional countries.

However, only Nokia would be selling the device for the time being, as other retailers should get it only on October 1st.

Enthusiasts should be familiar with the fact that the Nokia N8 is not the only Symbian^3 device the company should bring to the market in the near future.

Last week, during the Nokia World event in London, the phone maker announced the launch of three new handsets running under the new mobile OS, namely the Nokia C7, Nokia E7 and the Nokia C60-01.

Update: It appears that things have been delayed for a few weeks, and that Nokia won't ship the N8 on Friday, as planned. Read more on this here.
