One of the best deals for Nokia's flagship N8 smartphone is now live at the handset manufacturer's US online store. Even though the device is retailed for $449.00, customers can apply a special promotional code for a $50 price cut.

The offer hasn't been largely advertised, but word on the street is that, by using a special coupon code, Symbian^3 fans will be able to purchase one of the best Nokia handsets at the lowest price ever.

After choosing from one of the five color schemes available (Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue, Orange), customers can use the 'noknow2010' code at checkout to purchase the N8 for just $399.00.

It is unclear if the offer is time limited or the Finnish company is trying to get rid of its Nokia N8 stocks in the US.

The N8 is powered by an ARM 11 680 MHz processor (3D Graphics HW accelerator) and is the first Nokia smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 platform.

In addition to Symbian^3 OS, the smartphone boasts one of the best 12-megapixel cameras on the market, which features Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, ND filter, geo-tagging and face detection functions.

The device comes with a large 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors display and 360x640 pixel resolution.

Nokia N8 is a multi-purpose tool when talking of connectivity, as it comes with a complete package of features: GPRS and EDGE class 33, HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2.0 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS support (Ovi Maps), Digital compass, microUSB 2.0 with USB On-the-go support.

Other highlights of the smartphone include: scratch resistant Gorilla glass display, 3.5 mm audio jack, 16 GB of internal memory, 256MB RAM and 512 MB ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), Stereo FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter and TV-out (720p video) via HDMI with Dolby Digital Plus sound.
