For 359 Euros

Nokia seems to be passing through a "white fever" as it has recently unveiled a white version of N78, the Nseries handset first announced at the beginning of February, during MWC 2008.

Found on Nokia's official Spanish website (at this address), the white N78 comes after another two Nseries phones were spotted in white: the N82 and the N95, and it's a nice addition to the original black version of the handset.

Together with the N96 flagship, Nokia N78 is part of the new Nseries line-up that the Finnish giant has prepared for 2008. None of the two phones were released yet and while the N96 is set to hit the market somewhere in August, the N78 will apparently come sooner, meaning in a month or two. The Spanish Nokia website lists both the black and the white N78 having retail prices of 359 Euros, meaning around $555, so we should expect the phone to sell for about the same amount of money on all the markets where it will become available.

As expected from an Nseries device, Nokia N78 packs a wide range of advanced features: quad-band GSM connectivity, dual-band 3G / HSDPA connectivity (for both Europe and the US), GPS and A-GPS, Wi-Fi, a 2.4 inch display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, Media player with lots of supported formats, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo FM radio and FM transmitter, push to talk technology, document viewer, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, flash, auto focus and video, 70MB of built-in memory and microSD card support for up to 8GB. The handset weighs 101 grams, measures 113 x 49 x 15.1 millimeters and includes a Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery capable of providing up to 4.3 hours of talk-time and up to 320 hours of stand-by time.

Nokia N78 is surely an attractive choice for all the users who want an advanced and reliable handset and it will most probably be a success (from the commercial point of view) , like all the Nseries phones released until now. The white version only adds more attractiveness; hence Nokia seems to have a sure winner in the N78.
