Nokia N-Gage is not ready for a November launch

Nokia decided to postpone the N-Gage launch and seems to be experiencing some problems with its latest services. The delay will be of only a few weeks, moving the launch from November to December, this year.

Nokia officials said that software testing is taking a bit more time than what they had expected in the first place. Still, they said nothing on which exactly is the issue that is holding them up from making the N-Gage service available.

It looks like Nokia's activity in developing social or entertainment services over the past period has seen many problems, more than anyone previously expected. The handset producer's Music Store service also made several carriers take down its N81 device, which included it by default among other applications.

Warner Music Group also decided to pull off its songs from Nokia's music shop that opened in Britain earlier this week. The reasons for this decision were that they are concerned about illegal downloads at Nokia's file-sharing site Mosh. Nokia took some further security measures after this event in hope that Warner will change its mind and reach an agreement with them.

It proves to be a bold choice coming from Nokia, as few other mobile phone producers took the risk of pushing strong in the content space with services. They already have more than 6 million people using Mosh, for downloading audio or video files, programs or documents.

Nokia's N-Gage service was even more awaited as the Finnish company already has all the devices ready to support it. It sounded promising once the producer announced it and many people must have been waiting for it. The N-Gage application, once launched will allow users to download, test, purchase and play games. Supported devices will include the Nokia N73, Nokia N81, Nokia N81 8GB, Nokia N93, Nokia N93i, Nokia N95 and the Nokia N95 8GB.
