Nokia's long awaited gaming platform, N-Gage, is finally out, in the full 2.0 version, available now for download.

For the beginning, Nokia only offers five games. Users have the chance to try, for free, the following titles: System Rush: Evolution, presented as a "non-stop action game"; Brain Challenge, to stimulate your neurons; Asphalt 3: Street Rules, for all the racing fans out there; Hook On: Creatures of the Deep, offering underwater fun; and World Series of Poker: Pro Challenge, to play poker like a pro!

More games will be added in the days/weeks to come, including the smash-hit Fifa 2008, the hilarious Worms World Party, the 3D ONE, Brothers in Arms, The Sims 2: Pets, Midnight Pool, Dogz, Space Impact Kappa Base and many others.

N-Gage 2.0 can be downloaded from the official website, found at this address. Only those who own Nokia N81, Nokia N81 8GB, Nokia N82, Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB phones can enjoy the gaming madness for the moment, but Nokia will soon add support for N73, N93 and N93i. And, obviously, N-Gage 2.0 will be compatible with the yet to be released Nokia N96 flagship and the other Nseries handsets to come in the future.

Once installed on your handset, the N-Gage application will reveal its simple and easy to use interface with five main icons: Home, My Games, My Profile, My Friends and Showroom, the last one being the place where all the N-Gage games can be viewed.

Not much more to say at the moment, but I'm sure most of the (mobile) gamers are really happy to see the N-Gage launched, after several delays which almost put under a big question mark the whole project (if I may call N-Gage a project). It's good to see Nokia finally bringing the N-Gage action to us.
