The much-anticipated UK Nokia Music Store will open its virtual doors on the 1st of November. The service has been announced for some while now to head towards Nokia mobile phones and it was just about time to see it happen.

The Nokia Music Store brings millions of tracks from major artists, independent labels, and up-and-coming UK acts. All these will be available alongside a host of interactive features such as music browsing, personal track recommendations, and a 'favorite artists' search function, all to make the music listening experience even easier and more enjoyable.

The only problem that the service has encountered up to this point comes from the operators for the few Nokia devices that come equipped with Nokia Music Store. Carriers decided not to include these handsets in their offer, fearing that it would make direct competition to their own music services.

The producer made clear the advantages of such a service over a long period of time. "The Nokia Music Store offers great usability along with a huge selection of music", said Richard Sandford, Regional Manager, Nokia Music UK & Ireland. Moreover, "By having an integrated mobile and PC download service, the Nokia Music Store is a fantastic way to build a music collection that is truly mobile", he further added.

The UK Nokia Music Store is available from the 1st November at http://music.nokia.co.uk. The service is currently available only on few Nokia evolved handsets, including Nokia N81 and Nokia N95 in its 8GB version. The producer promised that more such devices will be released in the future, in order to make it accessible to a larger number of people worldwide.

With a single account, music lovers can access the Nokia Music Store via their desktop computer or directly from optimized Nokia devices. Individual tracks will cost 80p per track and albums from 8 pounds. The Nokia Music Store will also offer a monthly subscription for PC streaming for the price of 8 pounds.
