On Tuesday, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced the availability of its Nokia Music+ service in Australia, providing the owners of Lumia devices with the possibility to enjoy a new experience when it comes to listening to music while on the go.

Nokia Music+ builds on the features that Nokia’s music service already had to offer, but adds some new features that come at a small monthly cost.

The service is subscription-based, and Lumia users in Australia will be able to take advantage of it for $4.99 AUD per month.

Through Nokia Music+, users will receive access to a wide range of playlists curated by an expert team of musos and international artists, the mobile phone maker announced.

The service comes with features such as:

- unlimited number of skips - the ability to download unlimited mixes for offline playback - the option to select higher quality audio when connecting via Wi-Fi or through your network - access to lyrics for those impromptu karaoke sessions - the ability to listen and enjoy via Internet-enabled devices including PC or tablet

Users interested in taking advantage of the premium service can do so through going to Nokia Music in the main file menu, select settings, and then go to Upgrade. Users can select Nokia Music+ to activate the subscription and can start downloading playlists through clicking on Mix Radio.

Furthermore, the service comes with a free seven-day trial, for all those interested in taking it for a spin.

In addition to announcing Nokia Music+ for its Lumia devices, Nokia also announced that the Pandora app is now available in the Windows Phone Store for all Windows Phone 8 users to enjoy (it is ad-free until the end of this year).

Pandora is a free, personalised radio that lets you play music and comedy. Users simply need to start with the name of their favorite artist, song, comedian or composer and Pandora will create a custom station that plays similar tracks,” the company notes.
