One of the handsets that Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan on bringing to the market in the not too distant future is Nokia Monarch, which is now said to be a version of the Lumia 635 for wireless carrier T-Mobile.

Previous reports on the matter also suggested that Magenta would be the carrier to launch Nokia Monarch in the United States, but no specific info on what the device will prove to be has been provided until now.

However, a tweet coming from infamous tipster @evleaks suggests that the handset will to be the T-Mobile version of the Lumia 635, which was announced only last week with Windows Phone 8.1 loaded on top.

No specific info on when the smartphone might become official at the wireless carrier has been provided as of now, and details on its pricing are missing as well, though it might not be too long before it is formally introduced.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the phone was revealed as an LTE flavor of the Nokia Lumia 630, which should hit the market as another entry-level device from the Finnish vendor.

The Lumia 635 comes with a 4.5-inch screen and a pretty decent quad-core processor packed inside, though it was designed to hit shelves as a cheap phone and won’t be able to offer top-of-the line performance capabilities.

“With lightning fast 4G connectivity and a quad core processor, the Lumia 635 moves at extreme speeds for a superior experience on a beautiful 4.5" screen,” Nokia notes on its website.

The aforementioned Snapdragon 400 CPU inside the phone is paired with 512MB of RAM, as well as with 8GB of internal memory. However, the smartphone also packs a microSD memory card slot, with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the handset sports a 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities, though it does not include a front camera.

Nokia Lumia 635 also comes to the market with the usual set of connectivity capabilities packed inside, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS receiver, as well as with the entire range of common sensors.

Running under the Windows Phone 8.1 OS, it also features a variety of Microsoft and Nokia applications right from the start, such as Panorama lens, Nokia Refocus, Bing vision, Nokia Camera, Nokia Glam Me, and others more.

“The Lumia 635 comes preinstalled with many apps to get you started, and thousands more available on Windows Phone Store. And with expandable storage up to 128GB, there's plenty of room to store your favorite apps, photos, music and more,” Nokia notes.

“Take the new Word Flow keyboard for a spin, with chat apps like WhatsApp, Line and WeChat. Just glide your finger as you compose your messages for the greatest keyboard experience ever.”
