14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia launched a white flavor of Nokia Lumia 800, its first Windows Phone in the world.
This is the fourth color version of the mobile phone, adding to a lineup that previously included Black, Cyan and Magenta.
Rumors on the availability of this new color version of the mobile phone have been spotted around the web before, but nothing has been officially confirmed until now.
“The time is white for the iconic Nokia Lumia 800’s fourth colour. And here it is, in beautiful, dazzling, glossy, snow-white,” a recent post on Nokia Conversations reads.
“The Nokia Lumia 800, dubbed the first real Windows Phone, has been turning heads ever since it was launched back in October, thanks to its stunning curved design in cyan, magenta and black.”
However, the new version of the device is meant to raise the stakes. The smoothly-crafted polycarbonate unibody case Lumia 800 sports looks amazing in white, and is capable of offsetting the curved ClearBlack touch screen.
This is the same white that Nokia N9 was dressed in before, making the device stand up in the crowd as no other device before it.
“It is the ultimate minimalist colour scheme to emphasise the purity of the phone’s design, allowing the live Windows tiles and images on the display to come to life with no distractions,” the said blog post continues.
“And it adds a fourth choice to the Nokia Lumia 800 package in stores, giving the smartphone a unique presence in the style stakes.”
Like all the other versions of the Windows Phone-based Nokia Lumia 800, the white flavor comes with fast web browsing, as well as with support for Nokia Music, Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive.
The white version of Nokia Lumia 800 will land on shelves in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Finland, Poland and Switzerland in the beginning. More countries will receive the device soon after, Nokia confirmed.
