The long rumored Nokia Lumia Icon has just gone official at Verizon Wireless and will be available for purchase beginning February 20. Potential customers will be able to grab the Lumia Icon for only $200 (€145) on two-year agreements.

The smartphone will also be available for eligible customers who wish to upgrade through Verizon Edge program. No word on the upfront price tag of the Lumia Icon yet.

Judging by its specs sheet, Nokia Lumia Icon is a Lumia 1520 in a smaller chassis. The smartphone packs the same 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

In addition, Lumia Icon has been confirmed to feature 32GB of internal memory, but no microSD card slot for memory expansion. However, more free cloud storage space is available via SkyDrive.

Another of the smartphone's strong points is the stunning 5-inch super sensitive AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 441 pp (pixel density). The same ClearBlack technology used by Nokia in all its Lumia smartphones is included in Lumia Icon's display as well.

On the back, the handset boasts an impressive 20-megapixel photo snapper with PureView technology, 1/2.5” BSI sensor, f/2.4, OIS, dual-LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary 1.2-megapixel camera in the front.

Connectivity-wise, Nokia Lumia ICON offers LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and NFC (Near Field Communication). It includes an FM Radio feature and Qi wireless technology as well.

Nokia Lumia Icon is powered by a 2420 mAh non-removable battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 430 hours of standby time or up to 16 hours of talk time.

Keep in mind that the Lumia Icon only works with nano-SIM cards. Last but not least, Verizon's exclusive Nokia Lumia Icon measures 137 x 71 x 9.8mm and weighs around 167 grams.
