Today, Microsoft has officially confirmed plans to make the Nokia Lumia 930 smartphone available in Vietnam starting next month, during a launch event for the device.

The handset will become available for pre-order in the country on July 1, with a price tag of 12,999,000 VND ($610/€448) attached to it, contract-free.

Apparently, the Redmond-based company will have the phone available for reservations until July 10, which suggests that users in the country might be able to purchase it starting the next day, or very soon after.

Those who will pre-order the mobile will enjoy a series of discounts on it, at least this is what techrum.vn reports.

Nokia Lumia 930 is the high-end Windows Phone 8.1 that Nokia made official in early April, and which has yet to arrive on shelves worldwide.

Nokia’s Devices and Services division is now part of Microsoft, and the Redmond-based company has begun to push its Windows Phone 8.1 handsets out, including the Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635, which has already gone up for grabs on various markets.

However, the high-end Nokia Lumia 930 hasn’t arrived on the market as of now, although it has already gone up for pre-order in various countries out there.

As a refresher, the Nokia Lumia 930 was made official with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, as well as with a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

The smartphone features Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM, while also packing 32GB of internal memory. On the downside, we should note that no microSD memory card slot for storage expansion has been included in the device.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 20-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization, auto-focus, and full HD video recording. Moreover, it was launched with a 1.2MP front camera for making video calls.

The Nokia Lumia 930 also packs 4G LTE connectivity, along with support for 3G (HSDPA, 42.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps) networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities, NFC, and a built-in GPS receiver.

The smartphone was made official with a Li-Ion 2420mAh battery (BV-5QW) inside, capable of providing users with up to 15 hours and 30 minutes of talk time, or with up to 432 hours of standby time. The handset also comes with Dolby Digital Plus sound, as well as with the usual set of sensors.

As WMPoweruser notes, Vietnam is one of the countries where Windows Phone enjoys a large market share, at 26 percent. It is, in fact, one of the top 10 markets for Lumia devices, it seems.
