Today, Microsoft Mobile has officially confirmed that Nokia Lumia 930, its current flagship Windows Phone 8.1 device, is set to become available for purchase around the world this week.

The handset, made official in early April during the BUILD conference, has already started to emerge at carriers and retailers in Europe and elsewhere, and is even available for pre-order/purchase in some countries, but no official info on its global rollout has been provided as of now.

Today, however, we know that the smartphone is officially landing on the market in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and that it is set to arrive in additional countries out there soon.

Moreover, Microsoft has confirmed that the phone will be up for grabs in bright orange, bright green, black and white color versions, with an RRP of $599 (€440) before taxes and subsidies.

The handset sports an elegant aluminum frame, along with colored polycarbonate back, and a sculpted glass on the front, so as to offer a solid, high-end feel right from the start.

The hardware specs of this device are also in line with what you would expect from a high-end smartphone, starting with the 5-inch full HD screen, and going to the 2.2GHz quad-core processor inside it.

Moreover, the mobile phone was made official with a 20-megapixel PureView camera on the back, with ZEISS optics, optical image stabilization (OIS) and dual-LED flash, which can record videos in full HD resolution, while also offering great imaging capabilities.

“It’s not just the lenses that make this possible, the addition of four high-performance omni-directional microphones and Rich Recording combine to capture real-to-life audio, so that the sounds you hear back are precisely how you heard them,” a recent post on Nokia Conversations reads.

The smartphone is capable of recording videos with high-quality audio in Dolby Surround Sound, while also offering great playback capabilities, with the same high-end audio experience.

The smartphone is powered by a 2420mAh battery capable of offering up to one-day usage times, and also sports 32GB of internal memory, along with support for 4G LTE networks, and the entire set of usual connectivity capabilities.

Nokia Lumia 930 also sports a great deal of exclusive Nokia applications and features, such as the Nokia Camera, Living Images (after the app update), Creative Studio, and Nokia Storyteller.

What’s more, the mobile phone comes to shelves with all the features and capabilities that the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system was announced with, including Action Center, Cortana, Start screen backgrounds, and many more.

Additionally, Lumia 930 arrives on the market with the new SensorCore inside, which enables low-powered motion sensing, so that users could easily track their daily activities. Paired with the Bing Health & Fitness app, it should prove a great option for all users out there.
