Nokia Lumia 930, the flagship Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone that went official back in April, is now available for purchase in South Africa, on the network of wireless carrier Vodacom.

The mobile phone was initially expected to arrive at the wireless carrier only in September, but it seems that its customers can already grab it today, although stock is said to be limited, and some users might see delays in shipments.

The handset is available on the operator’s network in two color flavors, namely Black and White, each of them priced differently.

The White version of the phone is available at R699 ($66/€49) per month on the uChoose Smart L offering, while the Black variant costs R468.99 ($44/€33) per month on uChoose Smart S. Both require a 24-month contract deal.

The wireless carrier has a series of other monthly deals available for its customers as well. Those of you interested in learning more on the matter should head over to Vodacom’s website for that.

The Nokia Lumia 930 has been released in South Africa with all of the features and capabilities that were first announced for it back in April.

This includes a 5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080 x 1920-pixel) resolution at a 441 ppi pixel density.

Moreover, the mobile phone is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (Krait 400) processor with Adreno 330, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM, thus capable of providing users with great performance capabilities.

Nokia also announced the new device with 32GB of internal memory, though it did not include a microSD memory card slot on the device, and users cannot expand its storage this way.

On the back, the new handset sports a 20-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, Zeiss optics, autofocus, optical image stabilization, 1/2.5'' sensor size, and support for full HD video recording.

Additionally, the phone comes to the market with a 1.2MP front camera that supports 720p video, and which should provide users with a great experience when making video calls while on the go.

Nokia Lumia 930 has been made available with support for 4G LTE networks, as well as with 3G (HSDPA, 42.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity, and with a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS, GLONASS.

The main selling point of this device remains the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system it runs under, which brings along a nice range of appealing new features over the previous OS iterations, including Action Center, Start Screen backgrounds, Internet Explorer 11, World Flow, and others more.
