The Windows Phone 8.1 handset will be available via local carrier dtac

Microsoft continues the global rollout of its best Windows Phone 8.1 handset, the Nokia Lumia 930. Shortly after announcing the upcoming availability of the smartphone in Australia, the Redmond confirmed that the Lumia 930 would go on sale in Thailand as well.

Windows Phone fans will be able to grab the latest Nokia Lumia smartphone through the local carrier dtac for 19,890 baht outright, which is about $610 or €445. Lumia 930 will be available in multiple color options, including bright orange, bright green, black and white.

According to Microsoft, the first 1,000 customers who buy the Lumia 930 at Nokia Shop, M Shop by MLINK, PowerBuy, TGFONE, CSC, JAYMART and dtac Center will receive the Nokia TreasureTag WS-2 for free.

There’s also another offer for Nokia Lumia users coming from Thai Airways International. Apparently, top spenders who purchase THAI or THAI Smile tickets through “THAI m Service” on Windows Phone devices and make a payment using participating credit cards from now until July 31 will receive the Nokia Lumia 930 for free.

Local operator dtac offers its own promotion as well. According to Mr. Pakorn Pannachet, dtac senior vice president, market division, his company will offer 4G packages with 50% discount for 12 months to those who purchase the Lumia 930.

For those out of the loop, here are some of the highlights of the Lumia 930, which might make you consider buying it. First of all, it comes with a stunning 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The smartphone also boasts an impressive 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Nokia Lumia 930 packs 32GB of internal memory, but it lacks microSD card slot for storage expansion. It’s also worth mentioning that the smartphone is equipped with a powerful 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and full HD (1080p) video recording.
