The smartphone is already available for purchase in China

We reported over the weekend Nokia Lumia 929 (ICON) has finally hit shelves. Surprisingly though the smartphone is now available in the United States at Verizon, instead customers in China can pick this one up for no less than $630 (€465) outright.

The phone is imported directly from the United States, so it’s not compatible with some of the carriers in the country. In fact it only works on China Unicom and China Mobile.

Anyway, WMPoweruser has been recently tipped on the first video showing the Nokia Lumia 929, which is supposed to make its debut at Verizon Wireless sometime in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling whether or not Verizon and Nokia will still release the Lumia 929. There’s a chance the Big Red will swap it for a newer device that will go official in late February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014.
