Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a Nokia Lumia 928 smartphone on the network of Verizon Wireless can now take advantage of an appealing offer that Amazon has available for them, with the smartphone down to only $0.99 (€0.76).

To benefit from the deal, users will have to sign up for a two-year contract with the wireless carrier, though they can also grab the Windows Phone 8 handset contract-free, at $499.99 (€384). It can be seen on this page at the retailer.

Packing a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ OLED display and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, the Lumia 928 arrives on shelves as Verizon’s own flavor of the Lumia 920.

The mobile phone also includes an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera on the back, front camera for video calling, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 2000 mAh battery said to be capable of delivering up to 13 hours of talk time.
