After being officially unveiled to the world last month, Nokia’s Lumia 925 smartphone is moving closer to becoming available for purchase, with various wireless carriers already taking pre-orders for it, Vodafone UK included.

The operator has the smartphone listed on this page on its website, with a price tag of £0 on Pay monthly plans that start at £34 ($53 / €40).

The wireless carrier also reiterated the fact that its customers will be able to grab the 32GB flavor of the Black Lumia 925, which will provide them with more storage right from the start.

“What’s the deal? You can get a Nokia Lumia 925 at no upfront cost on a 24 month Red L plan, which will land you with unlimited calls and texts, alongside a whopping 2GB of mobile internet, and all for just £34 a month,” Vodafone said, according to WMPoweruser.

“The best bit? We’ve exclusively got the model of 925 that comes in black with 32GB of storage, so you get much more bang for your buck.”

Featuring a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside, the Lumia 925 also sports a 4.5-inch WXGA AMOLED (1280 x 768 @ 332 ppi) touchscreen display.

Furthermore, the handset lands on shelves with 1GB of RAM and with the aforementioned internal memory, but with no microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The specifications list of Lumia 925 also includes an 8.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, as well as a 1.2MP front camera, great for making video calls while on the go.

The smartphone also comes with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC capabilities, 4G LTE, and the usual set of sensors. It also features a built-in GPS receiver with HERE Maps pre-loaded, and support for all apps associated with the service, including Nokia City Lens.

“Use your camera like a 3D map. You'll never feel lost again. Just point your camera and look through the screen - it'll become a 3D map of the world around you,” Vodafone explains.

“If you've just stepped out of the station and are looking for things to do, you'll see information on everything you need to know about nearby shops, restaurants and top sights. It's like having a personal tour guide on your phone.”
