Following the official unveiling of Nokia’s latest high-end Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 925, UK wireless carrier Three has officially confirmed the upcoming availability of this device on its network.

No official info on the release date of the device has been provided as of now, but the wireless carrier might be set to make it available for its users as soon as June, the same as other operators in the country will do.

However, the company did say that the new mobile phone would be launched with support for 4G LTE connectivity packed inside, which would make it fit for Three’s Ultrafast network, which is currently based on DC-HSDPA technology, but will switch to LTE later this year.

“We’re delighted to be ranging the Nokia Lumia 925 on Three. Not only is Nokia’s latest smartphone stylish and slim it also includes some of the best camera technology we’ve ever seen,” Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three, said.

“Taking, editing and sharing stunning nightlife scenes or holiday snaps on the Lumia 925 is now even more enjoyable and is the perfect partner to our Ultrafast network.”

Nokia Lumia 925 was announced yesterday with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, and 1GB of RAM.

The handset packs an 8.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording full HD videos, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

Overall, Lumia 925’s hardware specs are similar to those of Lumia 920, only that the new device is thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor, and also features an aluminum body. The phone’s camera has been improved as well.

“The PureView camera has had some great advancements made. An extra lens has been included which means people can capture sharper, clearer images and record full HD video, even when the lights are low,” Three UK explains.
