Nokia Lumia 925, one of the highly appealing Windows Phone 8-based devices that landed on shelves last year, is now one of the sweetest deals available for users in the United States.

Newegg has cut the price tag for this device to only $225 (€161) and is selling it contract-free as part of Newegg's Shell Shocker deals, which means that it will stay at this price for only a limited period of time.

The handset was made available through T-Mobile in the United States last year and is currently up for grabs for more than $300 (€215) at Amazon, as PhoneArena notes, so Newegg’s promotion is certainly a great deal for many.

The device sports a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside, while also featuring 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Moreover, the smartphone packs an 8.7-megapixel camera on the back, with PureView technology, dual-LED flash, Carl Zeiss lens, Optical Image Stabilization, and full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

The smartphone was launched as an upgrade for the Lumia 920, featuring the same polycarbonate body as its predecessor, but also bringing forth an aluminum side frame that embeds the antenna.
