Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is expected to bring its latest Windows Phone 8-based flagship smartphone to the market in India in the not too distant future, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The company has yet to provide any specific details on the matter, yet the emergence of the smartphone on Nokia India’s website suggests that it might not be too long before that happens.

Made official last week, the Lumia 925 was confirmed only for a handful of countries, including some major European markets and China.

However, Nokia did say that it planned on bringing the smartphone to more territories after the initial launch, and India might be one of the countries to receive it in the not too distant future.

As wpsuperfanboy reports, Nokia will provide specific details on Lumia 925’s launch in India sooner rather than later, just as the company’s Jo Harlow said last week.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Lumia 925 was made official with about the same hardware specifications as the Lumia 920 before it, but with a different outer design, one that features an aluminum chassis.

Lumia 925 packs a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory (though a 32GB flavor of the smartphone was also announced).

One of the main selling points for the device is said to be its 8.7-megapixel photo snapper, which can record videos in full HD resolution, and which can deliver a great photo shooting experience even in low-light conditions.

Furthermore, the smartphone comes to the market with a front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, NFC, 4G LTE capabilities, and the usual set of sensors.

It also sports a variety of exclusive Nokia applications and features loaded on top of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, including a new lens app, the Nokia Smart Camera.
