Today, wireless carrier AT&T has officially confirmed plans to make the Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone available for purchase on its network starting with September 13.

The Windows Phone 8 handset, already available in the United States at T-Mobile, will feature a price tag of $99.99 (€75) with the signing of a two-year agreement, the carrier confirmed.

Furthermore, AT&T announced that users interested in the purchase of the new device would be able to pre-order it starting with tomorrow, August 28.

The carrier also said that its customers would be provided with exclusive access to the black flavor of the Nokia Lumia 925.

The handset, made official back in May, sports the same hardware specifications as the Lumia 920, including the 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display made with Gorilla, but comes with a modified outer design, being taller, slimmer, and lighter than the already available handset.

“AT&T has sold more Windows Phones than any other U.S. carrier and the Nokia Lumia 925 makes a great addition to our growing portfolio,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president Devices, AT&T.

“It packs the outstanding camera performance Nokia is known for with an affordable price point that makes it a solid deal for anyone in the market for a new smartphone.”

Nokia Lumia 925 arrives on shelves with an 8.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which should provide users with a great imaging experience, especially since it is paired with a nice range of great applications.

Two of these stand out, namely the Nokia Pro Camera and Nokia Smart Camera, the latter providing features such as Best Shot, Action Shot, Motion Focus, Change Faces, and Remove Moving Object.

“Powered by Windows Phone 8, the Nokia Lumia 925 features unique Live Tiles that provide near real-time updates on the people and things that matter most,” AT&T announced.

“The Windows Phone Store offers more than 170,000 apps, including titles like Pandora, Hulu Plus, Tumblr and Halo: Spartan Assault. Additional apps such as Flipboard, Path and Vine are becoming available soon.”
