Although Nokia Care has already confirmed the Lumia 920 and 820 will arrive in India on January 11, we can’t be sure Windows Phone fans will be able to purchase the smartphones beginning tomorrow.

However, everything points to a January 11 release date as Nokia already sent invitations to a launch event, which is set for January 10.

No word on pricing options yet, but the rumors claim the Nokia Lumia 920 will be available for purchase for around Rs 40,000 ($730/€560) outright.

Well, it appears that at least one Indian retailer will offer the Lumia 920 cheaper than expected, even if not by much.

Flipkart has just listed the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones and has priced them at Rs 36,999 ($675/€520) and Rs 26,999 ($495/€380), respectively.

We’re not sure whether these are the final prices, but we expect these Windows Phone 8 devices to go cheaper soon after Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC), which is set for February 25-28.

Obviously, Nokia Lumia 920 is the superior device so customers who want the ultimate Windows Phone 8 handset should choose this one over Lumia 820.

Nokia’s flagship smartphone comes equipped with a powerful enough 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 32GB storage.

Another strong point of the Lumia 920 is the impressive 8-megapixel rear camera that features Carl Zeiss lens, dual-LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The smartphone also boasts a hyper-vibrant 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display that supports 768 x 1280 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

Nokia Lumia 820 packs the same 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM, but embeds only 8GB of internal memory. The phone sports a slightly smaller 4.3-inch AMOLED display that support 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
